Ramadan is a holy month which is held during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Dates are dependent on the sighting of the crescent moon and may vary by a day or so. For healthy adults, this involves fasting from dawn – following the suhoor meal – till dusk, when people break their fast for an evening meal, known as iftar. Dressing conservatively is appreciated in Dubai, especially in public places or places of worship.

Dubai weather is a tropical desert climate with hot, sunny conditions created by its proximity to the Tropic of Cancer and the Northern desert belt. Summers are very hot, humid and dry with temperatures climbing to 40 °C and higher and rarely dropping below 30 °C. Winter in Dubai begins around the last week of October and lasts until the beginning of April. The winter season has the most pleasant weather, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
