Winter in Portugal is a very pleasant season, with plenty of sunshine with temperatures rarely falling below 10ºC. With an average of more than 300 sunny days a year, winter here can sometimes seem more like spring and you always need to have your sunglasses to hand.
Temperatures in summer rise to an average high of 27°C, with a low of 21°C. Rainfall and clouds are rare during this time, and the average monthly rainfall is only 6 mm – usually in the form of a quick thunderstorm.
