Albert 1 Hotel

The Albert 1 Hotel is situated in the historic centre of Bruges, within walking distance of all the tourist and cultural attractions for which this medieval Flemish city is justly famous and which make the Albert 1 an ideal base to explore on foot. The Hotel is located close to the Concertgebouw or City Concert Hall and, being only a 500-metre walk from the main railway station, is also within easy walking distance of such architectural treasures as the St. Salvator¿s Cathedral and the Begijnhof or Beguine Convent. The whole of the city centre is indeed a UNESCO World Heritage Site, containing a number of priceless medieval churches and civic buildings, as well as crow-step gabled houses lining canals that earned for Bruges the title of Venice of the North. The Hotel itself occupies a handsome red-brick townhouse, with 13 very comfortable guest rooms elegantly furnished in a traditional style, and all with en-suite bathrooms. As well as a traditional breakfast room, the Albert 1 offers an intimate lounge with an internet kiosk, complimentary Wi-Fi access in all guest rooms, and secure underground car-parking available at the Centrum-Zand nearby for the usual charge. The Hotel has a reception desk and express check-in/out service manned by a multi-lingual staff who are able to provide tourist-concession tickets, as well to assist with visitor information enquiries. The Albert 1 is non-smoking throughout and has a number of family as well as twin- and triple-bedded guest rooms, with baby cots and infant beds being available at additional charge as is a babysitting service, though the Hotel does not allow pets.
