The Holiday Inn City Centre East- Prenzlauer Berg is located on the Prenzlauer Allee in the northern locality of Berlin. Being situated directly on one of the main tributary roads into the city centre, transport links are fast and frequent. This wonderfully chic hotel is based out of the alternative and trendy district of Prenzlauer Berg which is teeming with cool cafés, bars and restaurants. Some of Berlin¿s most popular attractions are only a 30 minute subway ride away, The Brandenburg Gate; regarded as the symbol of union between East and West Germany after the Cold War and The Tiergarten Park which is home to The Victory Column as well as a wonderful array of interlocking lakes and beautiful greenery. Similar attractions such as Checkpoint Charlie and the Gendarmenmarkt can be reached in under half an hour also and make fantastic spectacles to see. This city is so full of culture and has a lively vibrant atmosphere; you are never short of something to do, with numerous establishments like cinemas, theatres, museums and galleries. Even the infamous theatre-lined Potsdamer Platz is only 5km away. The advantage of being located on the outskirts of the city is that the central activities are as easy to get to and you don¿t have to pay extortionate prices to stay there. Guests can also take advantage of the further out parts of Berlin where there are some fantastic views to be had, for example the Tegel lake and surrounding forests which are bustling with hikers and cyclists all year round.
