This fantastically located friendly hotel comes highly recommended. It is especially interesting because of its features, such as the surprising tabletops and painted ceilings. The hotel has a sister venue, the famous restaurant Franziskaner which is well known in Munich and right in the centre. Please ask at the reception for infos. This is a fantastic traditional venue, famous in Munich and right in the centre just moments away from Marienplatz and close to Maximilianstrasse. ## Location The hotel is located in downtown Munich directly opposite the train station, on a busy side street. All the central tourist sights and attractions are about 15 minutes' walk away. ## Distance 40 kms to the nearest airport (munich airport) 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station (hauptbahnhof) Close to the station (hauptbahnhof (100 metres)) 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 35 km to the nearest fair site (messe munchen) ## Rooms The rooms are all medium in size and have been renovated. They are very nicely decorated with bold colour schemes and comfortable, modern, yet elegant furnishings. The bathrooms are very clean. The new rooms are in exceptional condition. The rooms on the top floor of the hotel have sloping ceilings and a lot of character. ## Restaurant The restaurant which is located on the ground floor is traditional in style and this is where breakfast is served. This restaurant serves an a la carte menu in the evening. ## Exterior The hotel has an attractive and elegant traditional facade. ## Lobby The large lobby in an alpine style is very welcoming. Integrated Bar serves drinks until the early morning hours.
