Alte is a typical Portuguese village, one of the most beautiful in the country, and is situated on the edge of the Serra do Caldeirão in the inland Algarve, 45 km from Faro airport and 25 km from Loulé. Restaurants, bars, shopping opportunities, links to public transport and the bus station can all be found nearby.This charming modern hotel, which was renovated in 2005, is situated on a mountainside, and offers a panoramic view of the hills and valleys of the Algarve's coastline. It is the optimal setting to enjoy a spectacular sunset view. There are 30 rooms in total. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby with 24-hour reception, 24-hour check-in/check-out service, hairdressers' salon, bar, games room, restaurant, conference facilities and Internet access, as well as room and laundry services (the latter subject to fees). Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car.The hotel bedrooms offer guests a charming atmosphere, individually-adjustable air conditioning and heating, cable TV, radio, direct dial telephone, Internet access, mini fridge, double bed and en suite bathroom with hairdryer. Use of the in-room safe is subject to fees. Balconies and terraces also feature.Guests may take advantage of the outdoor pool with sun parasols. A sun terrace, tennis courts, mountain biking and pool/snooker also feature. The nearby beach comes with sun loungers and parasols.Breakfast is served as a buffet, while lunch and dinner are available à la carte.From Faro, go to Loulé, taking the 1st or 2nd exit for Loulé. Arriving at Modelo Roundabout, turn left for Parragil, and then go through Benafim before reaching Alte. From Lisbon, take the A2 road as far as São Bartolomeu de Messines (Algarve), then go towards Salir and Barranco do Velho. Alte is about 7 km away from this point.
